Virtual 5K: Go the (Social) Distance with LPI!September 1, 2020 | Posted at 12:14 pm
Join our team! LPI is hosting a virtual run/walk to raise funds for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to maintain and advance civil liberties, including, the freedoms of association, press, religion, and speech, and the rights to the franchise, to due process of law, and to equal protection of the laws for all people throughout the United States and its jurisdictions.
This virtual event will serve as a fun way to stay connected with friends, family, and colleagues during this time, while committing to moving more and donating to a great cause. Lori DiCesare, founder of LPI, will match your contribution up to $1,000!
Where will the event take place?
Anywhere! All you have to do is complete a 5k (3.106 miles) on your own time, at your own speed, at any point before October 9th. You can do this on a treadmill, around your neighborhood, or on a track.
How do I participate?
Anyone interested in joining us must make a donation to the ACLU on or before September 25th. Please email a copy of your donation receipt and your shipping address to Brittany.Prager@legalplacements.com. A minimum donation of $25 is requested and required to receive a participation t-shirt. After that, you must complete your 5k walk before October 9th and email your results to Brittany.Prager@legalplacements.com. Please also email any photos you take wearing your shirt and participating in the event. We would love to feature them on our LinkedIn and website!
Who can participate?
All are welcome to join in on the fun! It doesn’t matter where you live or what your athletic abilities are—the benefit to this being virtual is that virtually all can sign up!
I have more questions!
Please direct any additional questions to Brittany.Prager@legalplacements.com.
